Concurrent Track 1: Year One at the UPC: How Is It Going?; Design Law

This panel session will feature speakers that are directly involved with cases before the UPC Local, Regional and Central Divisions, who will provide an overview of the decisions issued by the Court over the course of Year One, including the very first decisions issued in proceedings on the merits. The topics that will be covered include: the criteria that have been adopted for assessing patent validity, criteria for granting a PI, decisions on access to documents, and confidentiality regimes.
