Early-stage startups seek investment through one or more funding rounds. When IP is contributed to the startup along with investor funds, equity, alone or in combination with fees and/or royalties, is often exchanged for the grant of IP. This program will help IP attorneys understand the basic corporate transactions involved in equity financings and the relevant implications those transactions have on IP agreements for contributed IP.
