Description
Many district courts have adopted local patent rules to bring predictability and efficiency to patent cases.  This seminar provides timely updates on local patent rules and how they are being implemented in different district courts, important information in selecting a venue and prosecuting or defending your case.  Likewise, many districts have implemented e-discovery model orders to streamline the discovery process.  This seminar will explore the impact of e-discovery model orders with an emphasis on patent and other intellectual property litigation, and will also describe best practices in conducting discovery under those orders.  To avoid sanctions for failing to meet their ethical and professional obligations, attorneys must be knowledgeable about e-discovery best practices.  Presented by William P. Atkins, Pillsbury Law; David Lender, Weil; David W. Long, Kelley Drye & Warren, LLP; Laura Smalley, Harris Beach, PLLC (moderator).
