Description
Original air date: June 10, 2015 It has been over two years since the America Invents Act created new post-grant proceedings—post-grant review (PGR) and Inter Partes Review (IPR)—for challenging the validity of issued patents at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). During this time, the USPTO’s Patent Trial and Appeals Board (PTAB) has issued numerous interim orders and final written decisions in IPRs and PGRs, including in reviews involving covered business method (CBM) patents. With a growing body of cases to draw from, this webinar will focus on effective strategies, lessons learned, and a synopsis of some of the decisions issued by the PTAB. Additionally, the speakers will discuss the latest developments announced by the USPTO, including the upcoming rule changes aimed at improving trial practice before the PTAB. Presented by: Hon. Rama Elluru of the PTAB, US Patent & Trademark Office; Naveen Modi of Paul Hastings; Jim Sherwood of Google; moderated by Dinesh Melwani of Bookoff McAndrews.
