Description
Original air date:  4/23/19. All that Glitters Is Not Gold: Managing the Changing Economics of Patent Prosecution
Economic and financial considerations are often farther removed from our minds than dealing with the office action in front of us, but all practitioners are impacted by mounting pressures relating to cost, client demands, and talent management.
This webinar will feature a wide-ranging discussion focused on the changing economic realities underlying patent prosecution and the demands being placed upon practitioners relating to quality and efficiency of such work.  Our seasoned panelists are each actively managing patent work as in-house attorneys, and each has also worked in private practice.  They bring a wealth of experience across diverse technologies including medical device, semiconductor, and secure identity spaces.  The discussion will be moderated by an active prosecutor in private practice.
Please join us for a rare opportunity to hear a candid discussion concerning the implementation of a wide variety of fee regimes and the expectations of corporate in-house attorneys, along with a look at macroeconomic factors affecting the profession.  The goal is to provide insights on what is driving changes and how to successfully navigate and discuss these changes with your clients or outside counsel to achieve a sustainable fee and prosecution management structure.
Presented by: Timothy Christman of Schwegman Lundberg & Woessner, P.A.; Joe Topmiller of Zimmer
